We are always looking for the most sustainable way to produce our products. We use a type of plastic made from sugarcane, which we call biobased<\/strong> plastic.<\/p>\n Traditionally, plastic is made from crude oil. Extracting crude oil and processing it into plastic takes a lot of energy. Producing it creates a lot of carbon dioxide (CO2) and can cause environmental pollution. This all contributes to global warming (greenhouse effect).<\/p>\n From sugarcane, of course, cane sugar is first produced for consumption. But bio-ethanol can be made from the residual product. From bioethanol you can then make plastic that has exactly the same composition and quality as plastic made from crude oil. Sustainable and excellent for recycling! And a big advantage: because sugar cane absorbs a lot of CO2 while growing, biobased plastic even has negative CO2 emissions<\/strong>!
